Starting to feel sick...

My nerves are getting the best of me, I'm not sure which is worse, the surgery being so close (this Thursday) or the work I have to get done before hand (I own a business and work from home). I just feel overwhelmed, not to mention hungry as I'm doing two shakes a day and one salad with chicken breast - I think if I could go hide in a corner until Thursday I would feel much better!

Dear Starting to feel sick,

I too was crazy with work just before my surgery. I really had to tell myself that I am always working like crazy for everyone but myself. I was committed to doing something just for me that would change my life. Try to focus on what you want out of the surgery and try to keep that as your focus. My goal is to feel good enough about myself to take a picture with my kids, 8 & 10 yoa. That was enough for me to say, I could work 24/7 and it still would not be enough to get everything accomplished. I returned to work 1 week after surgery, my mistake, but I took it real slow and after the second week back I felt like I was getting stronger each day. I got caught up and feel great. We are in charge of our future, no one else. You are so worth this time and you deserve it! Keep positive and feel great.

For me 3/2

Thanks for the comment! I'm almost done with my list of have to do's, lol - I think I'll feel a million times better when all these things are out the door! But you are right, my kids and my health are MUCH more important!
