I grew up in Houston and have many friends there. I have been trying to call some of my friends this morning and can't get in touch with them. I spoke with them last night and they were all boarded up and prepared for Ike. Hope they are okay and not in harms way; I will probably hear from them soon.

My HESI test is over with and I made a 94 overall. It was much easier than I thought but I'm glad I studied the math part more than anything.

I have lost about 10 lbs. now since 8/26, kind of slow I know but it's better than the alternative. I am taking in more calories and it seems to help. Yesterday I managed to get in 60 oz. of water which is something I have not been able to do since my surgery.

My plans are to get out and start walking Monday morning. It is supposed to be cooler here in the Dallas area too so that will be nice. I love to walk early in the mornings at the track and watch the sun come up. It makes me mad that I ever stopped walking, it is so hard to get back into the swing of things. I was up to walking/jogging 3 miles about 5 to 6 days a week.
