Congrats! You'll do fine..I just had my surgery 5/27 & I'm already doing well. Lucky you! I just had the equivalent of liquid tylenol.

i went to my doc for preop on yesterday 6/6 and was told I have haitel hernia as well. it's 2cm so I hoping this will not stop me from having the band once they cut me open. any comments out there for this??

I have a small hiatel hernia too. This is very common with overweight people. I was told since it was small it was no problem and they would likely repair it during the surgery. Did your Dr. say it might be a problem? To tell you the truth, I don't know what 'small' means in this case, only that the small ones don't cause problems generally, that's what I was told. What did your Dr. say?

He told me it was 2cm and it should not cause a problem. They saw it when I had my Epper Endoscopy (EGD). I think if it was a problem they would not do the surgery, so I'm going to worry about.
