6 Month Diet

Well, I had my first consult. My IPA is requiring me to diet for 6 mos. I am feeling very discouraged. about 7-8 mos ago, my endocrinologist had me see a nutritionist and a dietitian. I did both, and also followed a low carb diet, but there wasn't really a follow up to that. and of course I didn't stick with it. does anyone know if I can use that couple of months towards my 6? or will i have to start from scratch. and If I lose weight on a supervised diet (i know i will) won't that bring my BMI down (currently have a BMI of 38.5) but I have diabetes/sleep apnea/high blood pressure/and fatty liver :crying: any words of encouragement would be appreciated. Thanks
