I have my first appointment with my surgeon tomorrow. My consult was approved already by my insurance. I am hoping that is a positive sign that the actual surgery will be authorized soon. does anyone have any experience with Blue Cross of California HMO?

Does anyone out there have any experience with Blue Cross of California HMO? My BMI is 38-39 but I am type II diabetic, have severe sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and fatty liver syndrome. I have read so many blogs where people say they have had to diet 6mos before they can even see a bariatric surgeon. My consult was approved already, does this mean I may be closer than 6 mos to surgery?

I was on Blue Shield of CA and had to do the six months of classes and a ton of tests.
