Surgery Confidentiality

I think that I do not want my co-workers to know that I am having this surgery. I feel like a few of them will judge and I really do not want to deal with their comments. I do not think it is something that I have to share but I need to come up with some story. I thought I would tell them that I have to have my gallbladder removed - I did have it removed some years ago before I worked at this present job. I mentioned to a coworker that I was having problems with my gallbladder area. I forgot that I had told her that it was removed already. She said I thought you had that removed already! Drat!! I am not a good liar. I covered that it was just my digestive area - I feel like such a :biggrin:!! Anyway I am not good at the lying but need to come up with a story. I think I may just pull her aside and tellher that it is a surgery of a personal nature and I dont want people to know about it. I am such an idiot!!! :tt2:

I personally would go with the it is a surgery of a personal nature and leave it at that. Since it could be so many different things. And besides why do you need to tell them anything at all it's really none of their business. You don't even need to tell your boss anything except you are going in for surgery and you will bring them a doctor's excuse when you come back to work.

I say let them all put that in their pipes and smoke it.
