Any good new out there?

I'm so scared. I'm supposed to have this surgery this coming Monday, and I'm on the liquid diet doing what I am supposed to. BUT... when I went for my last appointment at the Dr. he tried to talk me out of this surgery. He said it's not nearly as effective as they first thought, and that one in two bands in Europe are being removed. So I decided to look online at what people are saying about their bands and found this site. It seems like other than the first few months... 9 out of 10 people are disappointed and feel like they are failing. I have to pay 50% of this surgery, so over $7,000. Someone please tell me it's worth it????????

Wow.. what websites are you looking at? I read about this woman "Furellie" she even had a problem with her band and had to have it removed but says she'd do it again in a heart beat. I'm getting my band next week and can hardly wait. Good luck in whatever you decide.

I think you have to get a mind set that this is a tool, not a cure. I just got banded last week and I am learning that. It's a lifetime committment, but the best desision I've ever made. Good Luck with your choice. I would say go for it!
