Feeling and doing super!!!!!!!

Hello one and all bandsters. Yesterday I went to the 1 week postop appt. All went great. They removed the steri strips, all is healing well, still a little sore on the port side, but it is bareable. I have not had any pain med since 2 days after my surgery, except Ibuprophen for a headache. Yeah for me... I got the go ahead to start adding regular food slowly back into my diet. So last night for dinner I made Green bean caserole and tuna salad. I know they do not sound good together, but that is what I was in the mood for. Then of coarse chips for the rest of the family, and they ate there tuna salad on a bed of lettuce. Anyway I was really sacared to try real food that I needed to chew.... All went well and it all stayed down. I got up this am am made egg salad and it went fine to. Not eating much, only few bites and I am full, so I suppose the band is working. I do not have any thing in my band right now. I have scheduled a my first fill for OCT 3rd if I need one. They told me that If I a still losing at a slow and steady pace I might not need to get one then and can postpone if needed for a few weeks later. I can also start to ride my new bike. Can't wait to start that with my 12 year old son. Just to let you all know since May of 2007 including the preop and the surgery I have lost a total of 29 great #######'s YEAH!!! I still have a long way to go, but I belive I am off to a great start.... Good luck to each one of you and we can and will WIN this battle with our weight.........:)
