Slow and Steady

Ok, so I knew that I wasn't going to be a speedy weight loser with the sleeve, I've never really lost weight rapidly except for when I had samonella food poisoning and was in the hospital for 10 days(not a way I would recommend to lose weight!). I have lost a total of 38 lbs since 5/14/13, which I think is great but my NUT says to me at my last visit that I should be losing faster at this stage. Really?? When I couldn't lose any weight before? I'm following the diet, I exercise every day for an hour(walking),I've added extra strength training twice a week, and miracles of all miracles I'm not cheating!! I know that I could eat slider foods without a problem but I'm not. If I'm happy with my progress shouldn't she be too? It really ticked me off but I didn't say much to her other than I'm doing what I'm suppose to be doing. Oh well, I'll just continue on the way I am, hopefully she will she by the next visit that this is just the way I lose-slow!

Don't let the NUT get you down! Everyone has always said for all of our lives it is best to lose weight slowly! If you know you are doing what you are supposed to be doing then keep up the good work! Congrats on losing the 38lbs!

You know yourself more than anyone else. A major issue is trying to make the doctors/nutritionists understand what is REALLY going on, and not what they BELIEVE is going on. I could never lose weight either. With every diet, I would drop my water weight only...then stall.. So, I understand you completely. Keep going - the last thing you need at this time is discouragement.... If you want to try and speed things up, try one thing at a time and see if anything works for you....if it doesn't, you tried and that's the best you can do. Be happy with your success so far! Slow losers united! :D

Congrats on the weight loss thus far. While the NUT may be knowledgable in some things, the NUT is not a doctor, so don't let it discourage you. Keep up the good. One thing that worked for me is i increased my cardio activities. You are walking for an hour. How fast are you walking? Are you walking fast enough that raises your heart rate to really sweat?

I also am a slower looser. I know that I am also doing what I'm supposed to be and have lost 45 lb since April 29th. I had a 5 week stall and then the scale started moving again. My Dr was also doubtful I have been following the NUT's diet, but I really had. For the first time in my life I am not crazy about food, and have great control keeping calories below 800-900 day. My guess is your body w

ill catch up and youll probably loose in spurts, your body will catch up, and then loose somemore...
