Good-bye Coconut Shrimp

blogs/blog-0910125001367448942.jpgToday was my last time to eat my beloved coconut shrimp at Red Lobster. It was incredibly delicious. I ate every bite of my baked potato and three garlic/cheese biscuits. I felt no guilt. I am satisfied and stepping forward.

I have already said good-bye to Tony Roma's ribs and onion loaf last week in San Antonio.

Three weeks ago, I ate at my favorite Chinese buffet for the last time.

There are others that I will still be able to nibble on after surgery but these three will be no-no's.

For me, these are big steps toward a new me.

Gastric Sleeve Patients

Too bad a bunch of us can't go to Red Lobster and share one meal. I said goodbye to a lot of my favorite places too. My last meal before pre op diet was pecan pancakes at Cracker Barrel on Easter. I have been good since I started my pre op diet Apr 1. It has been a month now and I am down 20 lbs. I had my surgery Apr 15. I am happy being down 20 lbs although some people have lost more. I am the lowest I have been in 12 yrs. Now with the sleeve I feel I will keep losing insead of my old way of yo yoing up and down the same 20 lbs. When is your surgery? Good luck.

My surgery isn't scheduled yet....soon. Everything is at the insurance company for their blessings, then we will set a date. I am soooo excited.
