Almost at 1st goal

resorns

I had my surgery on 11/26 and I am doing well. I set some early goals and my first goal was to get to 199 pounds. I have not been below 200 since I was around 38 years old and that was 20 years ago. I am currently at 202.5 and if all goes well will be at that phase 1 goal this week. What a Christmas present . I went back to work last week and it went pretty well. I am definitely more tired easily. Have to work on building my stamina. One day I did not get enough protein and I was doing a lot of walking and I really felt like I was going to pass out. I have to concentrate more on myself and timing. Overall, I am so proud of myself. I feel like I have a new lease on life. This has definitely been a to me from me Christmas gift this year. Merry Christmas!

Congratulations. I had my sleeve on 11/12. I'm excited that I move to what my surgeon calls Stage 3 on Christmas Day. I get to have pureed peaches, green beans, cooked carrots. Basically, if I can pour it, I can drink it.

I know what you mean about getting enough protein. I had a lot of problem with not liking the taste. I finally just mix the vanilla with a little chocolate and I can get it down. I take a 8-10 oz. bottle with me on the way to work and drink that while I'm driving. I have another bottle with freezer packs that is about 15 oz. I drink most of that for lunch and leave about 5 oz which I drink on the way home from work. It works for me. Weekends are harder because that is not a routine.

I hope you reach your goal. Goals are important but don't stress if it is not reached by your expectations. That can be bad. It will happen.

Happy holidays.
