Ask if you can bring something for everyone, Then you will know that there will be something that you can eat.

Does she know you had the surgery and where you are in what you are able to eat at this stage post-surgery? I know my mother-in-law is chomping at the bit to know what she can make for me post-surgery (surgery is tomorrow). I'm really looking forward to having her deviled eggs again (she loves making those things). Everytime I see her she's asking "what can I make that you can have"? If your mom-in-law is as involved, maybe you can call her and find out what the planned menu is and see if she is wondering what to make so you can enjoy as well? I know not everyone is as lucky as I am with my mom-in-law, but you never know. Good luck!

My mother-in-law is making me her potato soup for Christmas, since I'm getting sleeved on 12/19. I hope that's far enough out for me to be able to have a bite or 2 :)

I spoke with her today she now wants to go to the Outback for dinner. I think I'm will be eating mash potatoes or something. This will be my first time out. My husband and kids are very supportive of my decision but other family members do not understand

Outback has choices at least and you can ask them to prepare foods to accommodate your sleeve. Good luck and tell us how it goes.

Well ladies I had cheese and broccoli soup. I did get a heat flash after I

ate not sure what that was about. I let my soup cool down before I ate.
