tarakuk LAP-BAND Patients August 16, 201213 yr Author stats I was allowed to drive as soon as I quit taking pain medicine, which was about 4 days after my surgery. I didn't have any problems when I drove. Call your doctor tomorrow, and see what he has to say for sure, though. Good luck!
Katie713 LAP-BAND Patients August 16, 201213 yr Author stats I was told wait at least 1-2 weeks for abdominal healing. You should be good to go, but watch out for pot holes and speed bumps, they really jiggle your stomach and you want as little stretching/movement as possible during healing of your internal and external sutures, etc.
