1 Week Post-Op

A week since surgery, a very long week. At 1130 today my husband says, "this time last week, the surgeon was telling me that the surgery went well and you were going to be fine." Well, I'm still waiting for fine, but everyday now is a little bit better and that is enough for now. It's harder to complain when I know that I chose to do this to myself, although I guess that hasn't stopped me much. I remember when surgery seemed weeks off and now normal seems weeks off. I'm so glad I have one more week off work, I went to the store today and after an hour was totally wiped out. The good news is, I have lost over 20 lbs so far and that gives me hope.

I'm going to believe next weeks update will be brighter and lighter too!

Gastric Sleeve Patients

thanks for letting us know, I haven't had surgery yet, still waiting on the date, but keep second guessing myself, put it off 8 months and gained 15 pounds, so I know the surgery is best for me, and I too feel like I shouldnt complain, hubby is supportive but don't really want me to get surgery, he loves me the way I am, I'm confident but want to be normal size again, hard for him to understand to be a big guy isn't bad, being big big girl is.

thanks

LAP-BAND Patients

I am 8 days post-op and feeling pretty good...I had my band removed at the same time and a hernia repair. I am alost 7 months out of plastic surgery after losing the first 110 and then gaining about 25 back thru the inability to workout and my own failed eating habits.

I've dropped 14 lbs since the morning of surgery, I'm trying really hard to get some more protein in during the day, I'm on a slightly different diet because they don't want me losing too fast and only really want 40 lbs max off me, so I've had normal juices and jello/popsicles.

Keep up the great work! I'm sipping right along with you :)
