Yes, I was drinking them a couple hours post-op, per my Dr's direction. Follow your own Dr's advice.

Each Surgeon seems to have different guidelines...I was suppose to wait until one week post-op...AFTER I saw the doctor in his office. It was all broth and jello for that week for me. Im four weeks out, and still have trouble getting the protein down. Its So filling.. Its really time consuming..lol. I was able to Chug the on the pre-op diet!

My surgery was Jan 10 - 1 week ago. I couldn't drink anything the day of surgery; just allowed mouth swabs. They started me on liquids the next morning - shakes, broth, juice, water, popscicles. I couldn't take much in there. I'm still not getting in the full 64 oz. but I'm doing much better.
