Don?t wanna play anymore!

I am so sick of playing by the band rules; I just want to break one or two of them. Eat a big huge meal, take big bites, or wolf food down in ten minutes flat.

Wish I could have a break and not think about my food choices, my portion size, how I eat, my water intake, and exercise, ugh….

Calgon take me away!

Do you feel that way some days? I’m sure we all do. So how do we get past this?

There are some who have reached their goal and have been maintaining for years. They say they think like a thin person. They never think of food.

Will I ever be like that?

I reached my goal in December and have been maintaining since then.

Has it been easy? NO.

It has been the most difficult part of my journey so far. But, I won’t give up because I look in the mirror and I really like the person that looks back at me.

So, I will continue to play the game. I will make health food choices, take small bites (hubby calls them band-bites), drink water and exercise. I will do this for the rest of my life because I am worth it!

I definitely have those moments. I see my family going to town a big, fatty bowl of pasta or mowing a giant cheeseburger and I have these moments of "ugh I wish I could just have an hour to eat normal".

...but then I remember that's how I got to over 400 pounds... and suddenly that dripping burger doesn't look so appetizing anymore.

You're doing so great!

I have days like that too. Almost like I traded one anomaly for another, but I just put one foot in front of the other and remind myself that size 8 is a whole lot better than size 24!

Every weekend on tv in Boston there is a show called The Phantom Gourmet. So on Sat & Sun for 1 1/2 hours i watch all about restaurants. So today was NE seafood, fried clams, lobster, you name it, fried. I said to my husband, I want fried shrimp, clams and onion rings. We are not having it but I so wanted it. NE fried food is so wonderful all summer.

So I totally understand your thoughts on food today. I made homemade meatballs for dinner. Boring!

Thanks for posting! It's nice to see that I am not the only banster who sometimes wishes for the non-band life. Granted that is a short want. I know that the band is the best thing I could have done for me, so like you I will keep trudging along.
