Post Op Gas

I was banded 3/22/13 Surgeon told me the gas pains could last up to 3 weeks.

How long or does the gas ever completely go away? I am excuse me farting all day long???

I have no pains just gas.

My friend had gastric by pass a few years ago and she is always farting, and not a bit shy about it.

I had the band last July and I burp and fart all the time. No smells, usually. The gas pain from the surgery lasted maybe one week. Use a heating pad, it helps a lot.
