If there's any doubt, I would call. I never vomited post-op, but if I did I know I would have called my doctor. It wouldn't hurt to call - the worst he'll say is that it's okay (but I don't think it is...).

You need to call your doctor immediately. Vomiting so soon after surgery is not good and can be dangerous.

Call, call, call your dr! I would just get up and go back to the hospital! This doesn't sound safe at all. Good luck.

as the others said, if there is any doubts/concerns, instead of posting on here, call the dr and refer to them and let them advise. ((you must stay hyrdated))

Glad your feeling better, they had me stay off my water pill for about a week until I had my first post op visit. It is very hard in the beginning immediately post op to get large amounts of fluid in at one time. I also had a lot of nausea and I took phenergan for the first few days post op and than my doctor gave me something else to help with the nausea. That bothered me more than the pain.

yea it never crossed my mind to ask doc about taking water pills after surgery...honestly,my legs and feet have been so swollen for so many yrs, that i just assumed that i would always need them!! since the surgery,i can finally see the bones in my feet...lol

i am sure that once i return to reg foods, that i will need them again...but thats a question i will be sure to ask at my post op appt
