That Dreaded "g" Word.

Gym. That's right, I think I'm going to join a gym.

I've always said there's two things I personally don't believe in, Orgainzed Exercise and Organized Religion (don't take that the wrong way - I'm not against any religion by no means, I just have never been one to share my spirituality with others).

I've been doing well, every day I'm losing, even if it's just a few ounces (they add up!!), but I find that my workout routine that I had envision pre-op just isn't happening. By the time I get home from work, I convince myself that I was active enough and relax. There's a community center right down the street from my work, I think I'll get a 3 month pass and just keep gym clothes in my car. Time to kick it into gear.

LAP-BAND Patients

i found a exercise that i love , so im willing to stick with it (water fitness 3x a week). Now that ive lost some weight and also feel better, it makes me feel comfy trying new things. I have alot more energy so i tried Spinning last week. not too bad ! i didnt hate it and will give it another try this week. try differnt classes, maybe something will ring your bell. Also i was advised to look outside the local community center for other exercises. the local stables have horses, a local dance studio had dance classes, etc. I was invited to a belly dancing class, all shapes and sizes of women , but im just not into dance classes. anyway , keep an open mind when it comes to exercise. you never know ! good luck !

I've gotten back to swimming a 1/2 mile at the gym. It is a great work out and when I don't swim I try to walk or work my arm with weights....I think it is now time that I can start working my "core."
