As the day approaches to recieve my surgery date, I am becoming more and more nervous. These feelings are a bit overwhelming but I am excited. It sounds crazy, I know. I have waited for this opportunity for quite some time. However, I was never fully ready until now. I am grateful for this chance and I just want to be successful. Having lost 15lbs since I began this process in December 2011 has shocked me enough. I just hope the weight goes away and stay away--with my efforts and hardwork of course :)

My appointment with my surgeon is 3/28/12. I should know my date by then. Yippie!! I'll definitely post my date once I know it.

being anxious is normal.. if you weren't anxious about it I would worry about you. but be advised... the band usually does'nt have much restriction in it for the first 6 weeks.. or until you get a fill.. so you'll have to use self control to avoid overeating... and you'll be on a special diet to allow the surgery to heal.

I am was feeling sooooo nervous before my surgery...cried the night before and almost backed out 430 am!! This was far easier than my tosil removal, knee repair and child birth (as of I need to state that!) Wishing you the best! Know that your feelings are super normal!

LAP-BAND Patients

I had the Lapband Surgery on Feb. 24, 2012 and I was very nervous as well but it was nothing like I had pictured it to be. It was really easy. I went in to surgery at 9:15am and it was over at 9:45am. I was in my room at 10:45am and up walking at 11:45am. My doctor required me to walk a mile before he would release me from the Hospital. I was on my way home at 3:00pm. I was a little sore but not bad at all. I would do it again tomorrow. I wish you the best and I am sure you will do great.
