How Soon Can I Go Back To Work

I had surgery on Saturday, I went back to work on Monday (day 2 post op). I think this is probably not normal. I would only recommend this if you have a desk job and don't have to move around a lot because that was what really got me the first few days back.

I took two full weeks off and was not well enough to go back to my desk job any sooner. For me, it's the effect of the anaesthetic more than the actual surgery.

Don't rush back too soon.

I had my surgery on a Friday and went back to work on Monday. I agree with Sage, don't rush back, but than again, I do have a desk job.

Well I am a nurse, so i sit half the day and the other half im walking, i had my surgery on a thursday and went back to work monday. PS my dr only does them on mondays and thursdays.

The real problem will be the gas pains in your left shoulder and back

I'm 2 weeks out of surgery but I'm not ready to go back. My doctor said 3 to 4 weeks after surgery. Good luck with everything

I had my surgery December 1st 2011 (Thursday) and i went back to work that monday ....The worst part was the gas pain in left shoulder and chest with nausea. OMG! The first 2 days after surgery I looked into the mirror and said "Oh no what did I do to myself" Now a month later I look in the mirror and say "Hey, watch out now" and I start singing Brick House ......

I had my surgery 12/30/11 and didn't go back to work until today, 1/9/12. I could have easily went back the week following the surgery, Wednesday for sure, but my dr's note was written to return 1/9 and my boss wouldn't allow me to go back earlier.
