congratulations!!! does that mean that after all the precertifications with the cardio, pulmonery, gastro etc., doctors, someone can still be turned down? why don't they get the approval before all the tests? well, at least you are on your way. best of luck to you and wising you a successful outcome.

Thank you everyone!! I AM VERY EXCITED. roeroe-- I agree with you that they SHOULD do the testing before just like they make you do all the other stuff for insurance approval, but the way it's been explained to me is that the EKG and blood work is the last step before surgery. And if something doesnt work out with either of those (such as irregular heart beat or something like that) you might have to go to a cardiologist to be cleared for surgery. I'm a pretty healthy person (other than being obese!). So HOPEFULLY all my tests come back good!! I am so ready for this and I feel like I have been waiting forever!! :D
