Getting nervous...

I am going for my consult on Friday, am so excited and nervous and the same time. I keep envisioning my new self and can't wait to see her. I have been heavy most of my life. I am tall and have been able to "hide" my true weight pretty well, but there is no doubt that I am heavier than I should be. I have always felt like the ugly duckling with my friends, being the tallest and biggest, I always stood out. Yes, this has made me self conscious and a lil' shy. I have struggled with being the center of attention and speaking in public. I worry about what people say and think of me. So I try to lay low (as much as I can) and be a wall flower. So, with this new journey approaching soon, I can't wait. I am nervous about the surgery and the whole liquid diet ( does this actually keep you feeling full?) Does the band actually make you feel full with less food and continue to make you feel full longer? These are the things I worry about...

Thank you to all who have read this and good luck to everyone.

LAP-BAND Patients

You are very beautiful. I was banded 3/3/11 and have only lost 16lbs., for me it's a slow process but if you think about it, I would've never lost that weight on my own. Good luck on your journey!!
