LAP-BAND Patients

yep!!!! Read my blogs and you will understand. It has been 2 months for me and 2 fills... still not losing weight. Doc told me everything was fine and its ok. I was filled 2 days ago and I finally feel restricition now, sometimes. Expect a very slow process. For some people it goes quickly but not for me. You wont have restriction until you have a fill and you might be like me and it will take a few fills before weight starts coming off. Until 2 weeks ago... I was still gaining! Dont worry.... you'll get there

Me too...My first fill is Dec 22...Can't wait - I too have gained (almost 5 pounds now)...I too have no restricion and can eat a normal meal - Although sometimes I get food stuck and it stops me in my tracks like shock...And I stop eating, but this doesn't happen all the time...Maybe I'm eating too fast or too big of a bit. I'm looking forward to that fill too.

Yes, I was banded on Nov.8,10 and was able to eat by Thanksgiving. I kept it small out of fear of pain or throwing up. Hunger hit me hard and fast. I find that drinking protein drinks helps bring the suger level back up and water will sometimes stop the hunger growl. I received my first fill on Dec.3 and it slowed me down. I found that I have to refocus my efforts to eat only 1/4th of a cup every three hours a day. I also get the Wonderslim kits at Bariatric Choice to keep me on track. I hope that this will help.
