not losing weight...

:thumbdown:I was banded on 10/28. I lost 10lbs quickly and that's it so far. I am eating less and trying to follow a protien diet. No carbs. I started exercising this week to see if that helps. If it doesnt I am stopping those protien shakes for breakfast. I really don't feel like I am eating to much or cheating. I don't really have restriction yet. I am a little dissappointed that I have not lost more weight.

Hey you~

I was banded on the 27th and i haven't lost much weight either. But I was thinking about this and thought what if i lost more weight, would my skin start to sag? I dont want to look like a skinny girl wearing a fat girl suit.

I didn't lose much at the beginning. It did pick up when I added exercise. However, I think you need to give your body a little time to heal and adjust. I know when I was about 5 to 6 weeks out, it really picked up. However, I still hit plateaus. Then, boom...I'm off again. I am just about 4 months out and have loss 43 lbs. However, I felt just like you at the beginning. I thought I should have loss 20 lbs that first week. LOL

I did not start losing weight until I started measuring my food and logging it on a web site, there were several things that I was eating that I thought were ok but were actually costing me progress.

I am 8wks post-op and I just got my first fill 2weeks ago and I haven't lost anything since the fill. I think I thought the surgery would make my weight come off magically.
