workouts

Hi everyone.

I am 5 weeks post op. I have an appointment with my doc in 2 weeks. My question is: when can I start doing hard core workouts? He told me to hold off for "a little while" but I negled to ask him how long. When is it safe to do pilates and core strengthening? Since I have not lost weight yet and Im able to eat anything I feel like I really need to get back into my hard workouts. I dont want to end up with a hernia ( doc siad that was possible ).

My doctor told me to walk for the first six weeks as I healed. He encouraged me to walk as much as I felt able to do. He did not want me to lift more than 10 pounds until I was out pass my 6 week mark. I would definately call and find out from the doctor when you can begin those things. Good luck!
