Two weeks post-op

Ok, so I'm two weeks out and I don't think there's any restriction in there. So, now I'm confused as to how much I'm suppose to be eating. Am I suppose to eat until I'm full or no more than 1/2 cup at a time? I don't go back to the dr for my first fill until September. I just don't want to sabotage myself. :)

I had my 2 week post op yesterday and my PA told me to get my calories to 1200 (I was previously only able to eat 700-800 each day). She also said meals should be 1/2 -1 cup depending on consistency (1/2 more solid - 1 soup like). You should be satisfied with that amount. I am supplementing with Adkins protein shakes for added calories (boy, what a funny concept for me!). Keep away from high calorie foods - she said one of her clients was eating lobster bisque!!!! Go for nutrient packed foods. My first fill is Sept 1! Good luck to you!!!

LAP-BAND Patients

I'm three weeks out myself and thoroughly confused. And, I'm worried sick that I'm going to do something to cause my band to slip. I think I've convinced myself I already have! Hang in there! I go to my doctor on Tuesday and hopefully some of my questions will be answered. I've already called my doctors office several times-I would suggest the same if you're really concerned.

Good luck!
