Fill 'er up! or not???

went for fill #3 yesterday.... arrived at 10:15.....sat & sat & sat & sat...the "filler" was a "no show"... we were told that there was "an emergency" in the OR and she would be to us by 12:00....sooooo....we sat & sat & sat.... 1:00... still "no show"!!! so i had to leave ... hungry and w/o a fill!!!:) I managed to get in this morning w/another Doc. She gave me 2cc which brings me to a total of 10.75 in my band....i wont know how that feels until i start back on solids in about 3-4 wks!!! i have 3 days of clear liquids right now, which i've affectionately come to refer to as "LapBandHell"....:laugh:

Good luck! That waiting and anticipation just sucks! I don't know any other word for it. Hope things feel good soon!

Ahhh the start over after a fill, so not looking forward to that. First fill for me 4 weeks from my date of surgery cuz I am feeling like I can eat anything without restriction. How many fills does it take to get to that spot. Your going on number three...is that because your not feeling the fullness when you do eat?

@Richelle - i have not hit my sweetspot yet. so my band hasnt really started to work yet. there is no restriction w/o that sweetspot!! so until then, you're just dieting. my band was wide-open for one month after surgery too! so i know how you feel!!

why do you have to wait 3-4 weeks for solids? Is that what your dr. says to do after a fill?

@trisha -yup! I hv 3 days of clear liquids, then 1 week of full liquids, then 1 week of "mushies", THEN gradually introduce "regular food"
