I went all day with just tylenol today:thumbup:. I was actually ok. The port is the only painful incision right now. Still very tired. The gas is a whole different story:sneaky:. During the night I had a lot of gas pain in my left rib area.:thumbup: I walked for an hour around the house and then took pain meds and was ok after I slept for 2 hours.

Anytime I try to take liquids I hear this intense gurgling in my stomach. I was actually a little hungry today. One more day of liquids!! Anyone else start to feel hungry day 3?

The "secret" is getting a little difficult because neighbors are calling. Trying to avoid everyone! One actually left a message saying, "Hi I see your husband and kids going and coming but I havent seen you, is everything ok?" In my neighborhood no one needs an alarm system, we got a couple of neighbors that are the local watchdogs :tt1:!

    I am into day 3 of the post op time and sounds like you and I are right on par. I too am having some problems with gas or air or whatever you call it. Every sip I take its like it hits the spot and then the pains flare out like fireworks Doesn;t last long but it sure is annoying. I feel a little hungry but I have sugar free popcicles that I try to take it slow and easy and it has been ok. Each day I get a little stronger. Post op pain is nothing compared to the gas pain. Hope you find some satisfaction in some broth. Take care and good luck.

    oh GOD am I glad I found this thread. I got back from the hospital yesterday and am pretty much at day three post op. I did plenty of research before the surgery, and my mum had it, but i was notttt prepared for the pain of recovery, mum was up and walking around the day after surgery and I am still practically bed bound. It hurts to walk, maybe not so much hurt, but it feels like alot alot of pressure on my stomach, and cant seem to stand up straight, always a little slouched over. When I sit down to go to the toilet theres occasionally this intense searing pain over my port incision like the port is tyring ti break outta my skin or something, is anyone experiencing this? Please! I really want to know if this is normal or not, I want to know when i will be pain free and free to walk around and resume normal activities.

    Would GREATLY appreciate any replie.
