25 lbs down and counting

My first blog a few weeks ago was about beling stalled at losing 12 lbs. I'm happy to report now that 7 weeks out of surgery, I've lost 25 lbs. The difference for me came with intense exercise. I do water aerobics 2x per week along with spin class 3x per week and even a bootcamp class 1x per week. Yep, that's 6 days per week.

For me, my body adjusted quickly to eating smaller portions and decided to hang on to it and not budge an inch. After I added the intense exercise or as my friend calls my workout plan, "beast workout" my body has decided to learn to burn the fat.

I am 265 lbs but yes I do all of these exercises. I wouldn't have thought I could, but I push myself and even have a group of friends that go to the gym and work out with me. I honestly thought that this journey would be easier. I thought initially I would just lose lots of weight because of eating smaller portions. WRONG! For me, the real change didn't come until I added the exercise. Now I've averaged at least 2 lbs per week weight loss and am very proud of that.

I had my first fill 3 weeks ago and really don't notice a difference. I still get pretty hungry between meals but I've learned how to eat fruit or nuts to get me through. I'm looking forward to getting to that sweet spot when I don't have real hunger between meals.
