The day after my surgery

When I got home after my surgery I was feeling great. It wasn't until like 2am when the pain kicked in. I woke up crying definitely needing some pain meds. So I went to kitchen and took 2 of my pain meds at the same time. Not thinking anything bad would happen but once I swallowed both of them. I felt one go down but the other just wouldn't go. It just felt like it was stuck and wasn't moving. To be honest it was a really scary moment! I didn't know what to do. So I started spitting up and that didn't work. I finally went to the bathroom and tried to throw it up. I didn't throw up anything except water and some foam. But after that I'm happy to say that feeling went away and I was able to breathe normal. Thank god! That was such a scary moment.:tongue_smilie: From now on I'm cutting my pills in 2 and taking it easy.

Guess that was my 1st lesson! I can't take pills the way I use 2. LOL Can't wait to see what happenes when I start eating real food again...

Hello. How are you today? I am having my surgery on April 22nd and I'm starting to get nervous.

I feel a lot better! Thanks for asking :w00t: I'm now cutting them in to 2 pieces until I can get the hang of it again. But don't be nervous! Everything happens really fast and you'll feel fine once you get home. Just remember that once you get home take it easy. Because once the anesthesia wears off you will be in some pain the next day but you'll be feeling better by the 2nd day. What I use to help me besides the pain meds is an ice pack which helps with the sorness and also I'm using neosporin on my incision. It helps me! GOOD LUCK!
