Surgery Day 4/15/2010

Finally this day has come. At 10:30am on 4/15/2010 I finally had my LAP-BAND®®®®® surgery. Seriously it went by so fast. They weighted me in which they really wanted me to lose 15lbs for the surgery but I only lost 11lbs which is still GREAT! they took me to the back and put the I.V, gave me a couple of shots and after 30 mins. They sent me into this room where everything was so BRIGHT laid me on a bed, put a mask on me and asked me to take a couple of deep breaths. In just a few mins I was out. When I woke up I felt like I was drunk :lol:just talking shit with the nurses and asking for the nurse that signed me in cuz she was so nice. I passed out for like maybe an hour or 2. Woke up and I just had this heavy pressure on my chest. Which was gas. The gave me something for it and some ice and before I knew it I was burping it ALL out. 45 mins later I was out of there. My surgery was at 10:30am and I was out of there by like 2:30pm.

I'm now on my clear liquid diet and I feel fine. I do feel a little sore but I have pills for the pain. But I'm not hungry at all!!! Which is great!:tongue_smilie:

How exciting, I am so happy for you. I can hardly wait, I'm a little nervous, but I know I will be fine after the surgery. I just completed my 3 month diet with the dietician, I lost, I gained, and I gained. Hopefully my surgery date will be scheduled in the next two weeks.

Thank you so much! I'm really happy and shock that I finally did! But that damn pre op diet so hard! I was such in a bad mood like every day. I would see my fiance eating something and I'd would look at him which such an evil eye. LOL and food commercials would Kill me! But for sure in the end it will all be worth it. I cheated a lot on my pre op diet. But on the last 4 days I stuck to it and lost the almost all the weight they wanted. You can do this! I promise you can :w00t: and once it's done you will feel like a brand new person a little sore but brand new. Good luck Friend
