I eat omelets with cheese sometimes, but I have some coffee, sipping it, not gulping. I always prepare a drink, either water or milk with my evening meal. I sip it after eating a few bites. Tonight I had mashed potatoes and some meat loaf, you know one of those microwaveable meals with a little cup of pork and beans. Of course all small portions when eating and eat slow. No problems. Afterwards I sip on the glass of milk to smooth out the flow. Drinking small amounts is ok as long as you control it. If it works then it's ok. Enjoy your journey like I am.

my surgeon (as well as my lapband books) says no liquids 30 minutes prior to a meal and no liquids for an hour after eating because liquid washes food thru the stoma. if i drink at all during a meal or after a meal, i notice that i eat more and dont feel full as long as i do if i dont drink.

My surgeon said nothing 15 min before and 45-60 min after. I always drink with my meals this is going to be really hard once I am banded. By the time I think about I have already been slurping my water during my meal.

ive been keeping my drinks away from me while im eating. i watch the clock after a meal though so i know when i can have my water bottle back.
