I was banded on 10/09/09 and was 269 & now I am 245 & I can not get passed 245. I don't know what to do:frown: I have had my 5th fill some months back. I am eating very little, I have started to get brittle nails, I do excersie but I can not get passed the 245 mark. Help any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, I don't think I'm getting enough protein either. I tried one vitiam it was for hair, skin & nails & I could not digest it. Again any & all suggestions are welcomed please :rolleyes:

I started doing the Low Carb diet (Atkins) and that did it for me. I went to their website and bought the most current book and so far it's been working great with the LapBand. As for the brittle nails, and losing of the hair, I started taking faithfully my multi-vitamins and at least 3 times a week Biotin. My nails do seem to be a lot stronger and longer! Best Wishes!

Crush or Chew your vitamin into small pieces and wash down with a shake, like I do. I usually have two multivitamins daily with a shake or water--breakfast. Protein items are best, tuna, fish, chicken and soups--they have been working for me. Exercise is a key factor too, 30 min to an hour a day if possible. Good luck

hi... i am going though the same thing.

I got banned on 9/30/09 and since then i have lost 35lbs...now i have been stuck at 243-245lbs for the mast 2 months. I just got my 3rd fill last week. and i have ZERO restriction. Iam doing cardio 3 times a week for 1 hour ( sweating my butt off). I am fustrated..

I have been taking Biotin for the last 2 moths cuz i was loosing alot fo hair and my nails were getting paper thin. I think it works. The pill is very small, sometimes i cut it in half before swallowing.

For protein i eat cottage cheese 1cup has 26grm, also BLALANCE Bars, they dont taste to bad. I try to keep my daily protein intake above 65-70 grams.
