Battling with MYSELF

I am had my surgery on 10-09-09, everything was good until I got banded on 11-11-09, it's like I keep battling with myself. I am so use to eating a lot of food & when I eat it's like I can not stop & that's not good. I havent had anything stuck as of yet, but my food does come back up & I feel sick to my stomach, which makes me not want to ever eat again. It's so hard seeing family & friends enjoying their food & me sitting there eating a kids meal. I am full but my mind is saying eat just a little bit more. I do not know what to do. I am getting very depressed:sad:. I am due back to work on Monday the 23rd but, I do not think I am ready. Any suggestions?

I eat of a side plate. I bought a digital scale and a weigh out exactly what I can have...about 5-6 ounces. I don't put all the food on the table. I fix my fiance and my plate and bring only that to the table. I know when I finish my plate that is it.

I know it isn't as easy as that. But it helped. It does get better. I am 4 weeks post op, and I got really depressed for the first couple weeks. But it gets easier. I promise!
