Smashburger vs. Lapband

Smashburger 1- Lapband 0

UGH I haven't been stuck or had an episode since the first week - today is my 3 month anniversary - wow I sound like the annoying desperate girl who counts every day in a relationship lol - anyways I decided to grab a smashburger (if you haven't had one - TRY IT - SOOOOO GOOD) for dinner. I was in a hurry and multitasking and evidently ate too fast or didn't chew enough because OMGOSH... STUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

Trying to be good I didn't order a drink with my meal, just the burger, no fries or anything. Man let me tell ya I couldn't get to the nearest drink fast enough.. OMGoodness... Thankfully I wasn't THAT stuck, to the point a drink didn't help.. I have a fill tomorrow scheduled for tomorrow as well, but after this lil' epidose ummm yeah we'll have to see lol.

OUCH!!! You are so lucky that the drink helped! The other day I took a bite of a bagel (open face and well toasted), but still it got stuck! I waited like 30 seconds and took a sip of water....it was like OLD FAITHFUL! The water, seriously, exploded out of my mouth like someone gave me the haimlick (lol I can't spell that). It was so scary lollol ...yeah no more bagels for me! And I only have one fill!

Smashburger is the best hamburger I have ever eaten!!!!! I haven't tried one since being banded yet though. (banded 12/30/09). I did have a bite of corned beef on St Paddy's and it got stuck!!! I didn't think it would ever move. Taking a drink has been catastrophe in the past so I had to wait. Won't do that again!!!

My dietician says to drink pineapple juice. It will break down the proteins in meat to help it slide through. Luck for me I haven't been stuck yet so I havent had to try it.

I skipped my fill yesterday due to unforeseen circumstances but I think it's all just as well - I'm feeling lots of restriction today... I drink pineapple juice alot anyways. Now I'll have to try it in the event I get stuck again
