Getting 2nd Fill today....

I'm excited but a little nervous...I swear I don't think he even put hardly any in the first time...I've still been able to eat the same. So hopefully he'll crank it up this time. lol I haven't lost anymore so I'm looking forward to doing that...obviously! I was wondering though....how are you guys doing things....are you measuring your food? Exercising a lot? What are your secrets? Thanks for any tips you can give me. I'll let you all know how it goes today.

Hi I am going for my first filling on 12/14/09 and I am very nerves. Dont know what to expected. Did your first filling hurt? I was banded on 10/02/09 and so far I lost 28 pounds which I thought I was doing good. But the dr. whats to do the filling. I dont execise as much as I should. But I do walk 3 times a week. And watch what I eat. And stay away from fried food. I hope thats help you a little. Let me know about your first filling.

Just got back a little bit ago from the Dr's office and I'm drinking my soup for dinner and it seems to be going down a lot slower so I'm really hoping that I'm gonna see some great results this time around.

My fills always hit me about 4 to 5 days later. I would be eating normally and all of a sudden Oppps... I could not take another bite. I must say that I felt most full after the fifth day. I have had three fills and I am max'd out so to speak. Tight as all I want to be for now. I did not take my fourth fill four weeks ago and I will not take another one on Dec 21 when I go back to get weighed. I think I am at that sweet spot I have heard mention on these pages. It was rough going for a while. It takes me a lot longer to eat and I chew chew chew to beat the band. I never drink with my meals ever. That was one of the hardest things for me not to do. I always thought the liquid was to wash the food down. Now they want the food to stay in your small pouch longer and go into the larger pouch slowly. That means I am not as hungry as often and it works. I love my band and feel great today. I am excited to get on a scale to see how much more I have lost. Best wishes on your journey. imaluckydog

I just got my second fill yesterday and I'm hoping to feel more restrictons. Since my surgery I only use a salad plate to eat from, and I have not had any sugars or breads. I am still hungry at times, but there is no room for failing, this has been a hard thing to do and it's the last chance I have to get healthy.I have lost 36lbs so far (I as banded on 10/19/09)I know this journey is different for everyone and I know we will all succeed at this. May God Bless and keep you and be your strength.
