Hi, have you had your first fill? How many cc's did you get and what was your experience like? Any pain meds at the time.

hi.

i had my 1st fill last thurs. I was scared since i saw that he wasnt going to bother with any numbing stuff. My Dr found the port on his first try. I think what helped was that my port was placed just bellow the skin about 3 inches up from my bellybutton.

The needle did not hurt, what felt wiered was the sensation of the saline filling the band. He gave me 3cc for now. So far so good, going to be on liquids till tomorrow morning and see how it goes...i do not want anything to get stuck

Good luck

I had my first fill on Thursday as well. It was relatively painless for me. No numbing or anything. I agree, the weird sensation afterwards was strange, but overall nothing to worry about. I am bruised where the nurse put the needle in, but doing fine. Don't stress it.

had my first fill yesterday and it was relatively painless. I had been losing weight fairly well without the fill but the water he had me drink and the stuff to show up on the flouroscope did make me gag but I kept it down. I am kinda scared to eat now though as I do not want to throw up. any tips for post fill eating
