Followers I had my surgery on 10/19/09 and it is now 11/1/09. I am recovering great. However, I think I can feel the band, especially when I sneeze or take a deep breath like when I yawn...is anyone else experiencing this? did the band slip?

enurse29 LAP-BAND Patients November 2, 200916 yr Author stats Your band probably has not slipped. You will experience a lot of Nausea and Vomiting if it had. Since you just recently had your surgery you probably have the new band which has a lock on it,, It's almost impossible for those things to slip, but still call your doctor to make sure
Treesd LAP-BAND Patients November 5, 200916 yr Author stats I am so glad that you asked this question, I asked the same question but I didn't get a response. I feel my port also, I hold my side all the time. I think or hope that this is normal. When I call to ask the nurse they keep telling me that I need to give it more time, and that I am still recovering. I will keep posting to my blog on how I am feeling. Good Luck
ready2liveagain LAP-BAND Patients November 5, 200916 yr Author stats for the first 3 months after my surgery, I could feel my band when I sneezed or coughed... my surgeon said it was perfectly normal. That feeling went away at the end of month 4. I had my surgery in Jan 2008, and I've lost 56 lbs since then. Good luck.
