I decided to have the band after dieting pretty much my whole life. I could easily lose 50 lbs but it never failed I always gained it back plus more. I was so sick of looking at myself everyday knowing that I had a son to raise and that I couldn't even keep up with him. I had my son in Oct 07'. I got up to 265 lbs!! I got down to 185 but then gained several pounds back. My starting weight was 225 the day I had my surgery. Currently I am 198. I had my first fill just 2 days ago. I am really looking forward to becoming a new person and a better mom.
