advice RE: Liqiuds

Just wondering if I can get some advice......... I was banded last friday (the 16th) and have been drinking chicken noodle soup, black bean soup, yogurt, pudding and protien shakes. All of the stuff that has any kind of "lump or bump" I blend in the food processor. I figured that pretty much anything could be turned in to liquid, but I found out today that I should only have broth, milk and my protien shakes until monday. I just wonder if I could have done any damage to my stomach, or the healing process. Is there any one that went through this or that has any advice? Thanks

If they weren't any thicker or lumpier than your protein shake then it's not likely that you did any damage. You need to be more careful during this first 6 weeks then any other period of banding as this is when you can most easily cause problems. Those stitches on you stomach/band and the port need to heal. Congrats on the banding! -BG
