lol, we did use to call them maxis in the 70s. BG as I was reading your post, I realized I still go for the cover and loose clothes as well.

I don't know if you have this problem, as I loose weight, yes, I know I am thinner and I know I look thinner but still I feel I look "FAT" I know this sounds strange, but I keep reminding myself 170 is better than 190. Maybe it being at this age (over 50) and not as young. Fat use to go away, now it goes away and leaves flab.

This is when I have that little voice I have been trying to ignore yelling....exercise.............ugh.

Oh, thank goodness! It's not just me that's suddenly finding out about purging the "automatic black" from the wardrobe and shopping! (Happy Dance)

Hey, BG! We wear the same bra size! I'm a 38B, and I gave up the regular bras for the sports bras out of sheer desperation.

I'm still fat in my head, too. I'm only 15 lbs away from my thinnest since before I had kids close to thirty years ago, but I still feel like a Leviathan.

I still skulk around the Misses section of the women's clothing like I don't belong there, and have to tell myself I'm shopping for my daughter (who is the same size I am now) before I stop shaking. I keep expecting some skinny little salesgirl half my age to point toward the women's section and say loudly and contemptuously, "They have things that will fit you, Ma'am!"

(Don't you feel like the salespeople all use "Ma'am" when they'd much rather say, "B*tch" or is it just me?)

This was great! Thanks for the laughs!

I didn't do the moo moos, I wore sweats all the time in the 80's and part of the 90's. This was before stretchy

material for pants came out (only the preg. pants had that).

I too have found that I'm down to a 38B from a 42C and use my sports bra more then others to keep me up.

I'm back to my wedding weight though and can't wait for the next 10 to drop. 10 at a time keeps me going, do it a total of 4 more times and I'll be good!

BG, thanks for your blog! I have really enjoyed it! You bring up so many good points and you make me laugh! I thought I was the only one who still thinks she is fat. I may buy a size 6 but my mind still see a size 18 in the mirror, picture. I have tried recently to take pics of me to post on here but cant seem to take one that "I" think looks good (by that I mean thinner). Reading that you and others feel that way makes me know that I am not alone. Thanks!!
