I Survived....

... I really wasn’t sure I was going to. I was so scared that I almost left the doctor’s office the day of, just walked right out! I told my husband with tears in my eyes that I didn’t want to do it anymore. And he was ready to carry me out of there – my hero!

Well, I stayed and on 7/17 I was banded! WOO HOO!

Today is my first day back to work. I could have come in yesterday, but really didn’t feel up to it. Today I feel much better. Actually, I feel great compared to the last few days. It was hard. I was in a lot of pain. I woke up from surgery in serious pain and was in pain all weekend long. I’m still a little uncomfortable, but ok. It’s tolerable.

I see my doctor again Friday for my first post op visit. I hope I can move on to mushy foods after I see him. My body seems to be accepting the band very well. I can drink everything just fine. My nausea is gone. I can even take larger sips without the fear of pain or vomiting (not that I threw up once).

I’m good. I’m happy. I’m on the track to losing (already lost 6.5 pounds in the last 4 days). Can’t wait to lose more.

I am scheduled for surgery 8/10/09 and I am a bundle of nerves. I can't wait until I am finally banded so I can calm my fears. As many surgeries Iv'e had you would think I wouldn't be so nervous.
