LAP-BAND Patients

Question for those who have had the lap band surgery. Did they remove your gallbladder when they banded you?

My gallbladder was removed and since then I've noticed better digestion and bowel movements.

No it was not painful. To be honest with you, I was surprised to learn, doing preop prep, that I had gall stones. The doctor recommended taking out the gallbladder during lapband procedure. I did recall one incident, two years ago, when I had extreme adominal pain. Went to ER and they were not able to diagnose the problem. I now suspect it was due to gallbladder problems.
