I am happy for you that you did it, however, I have not so...I can share. I live in New Jersey (Jersey City) can you please share with me the high protein regiman that you use prior to surgery. My doc is suggesting Slim Fast. I don't want to drink that garbage if I don't have to. Help.

GNC has protein drinks plenty of them and if you do not like how they taste they have a 100% money back so keep your slip. I found some i can handle. I only had to do liquid after surgery for two weeks. Make sure you walk and get up and about that will help with shoulder gas and pains.

Hey beenice54 you need to drink the protein shakes that have 30grams of protein or more in them. For PreOpp I Only drank them two days prior and only in the morning, the kind I am drinking is from Costco and the name is Premier Nurtition-the flavor is chocolate they are delicious. You can also pick some up from Wal-mart too just make sure they have 30 grams of protein and no sugar,I am not sure what state your in but if you have a Costco it's your best bet. I also found some at Vitamin World in the mall here where I live and that is the kind they gave me from the hospital when I left It is called Optisource, its a green little box that also taste delicious, they have different flavors carmel and vanilla is the best stawberry is kind of nasty.Hahahah not to sure I believe they have a websight optisource.com Drink plenty of water the two days prior to surgery also buy vitamin water it helps you and keep some at home for afterwords when you get out of the hospital you will only be drinking chicken broth and beef broth, Protein shakes, Surgarless jello, and vitamin water, coffee and tea. That's it but its fullfilling though. Make sure before you go to the hospital for surgery you have all your stuff ready at home like make yourself a couple of sugarless jellos and have your protein and vitamins ready because once you come out you wont feel up to going out anywhere for a few days, you'll be out of it , drained and tired. Trust me that is what I'm feeling now.
