Another good weekend

I did not get to walk today because it was raining this morning so that put a damper on the whole day. I was not as motivated as usual on only Biddle around, really did not accomplish anything other than I was able to eat my steak today. It is odd how the LB works sometimes I can eat other times not so much. It did take a while, but was worth it, good protein. So the rest of the day I will only have two protein shakes. I did brown some ground turkey for my meals though out the week. It just makes it easier when I don't have to give much thought to the food I eat.

Band_Groupie, I have two protein shakes a day and one (food) meal. I don't know if the shakes make me tight, I really have not had that experience. I think the fill this week did the trick. You will read a lot about shakes or no shakes after the band. My Dr. is in favor of the shakes while your dropping the weight and from my success and the success of his patients I would have to agree. I am sure they help me, I get my protein and control my calories. Not to mention, I think they fill in for my sweets.

Wow, thanks for the info. My doc is really anti-shake, says it defeats the purpose of the band, but I used them post-op and post-fills...I've been wondering if I'd be less hungry if I started the day with one during this Banster Hell, so I may give that a try. You've certainly been successful with them!! Thanks again! -BG

I have read that many doctors want you on normal food and I can understand that once I get to my goal weight. My Doctor says most of your weight loss with the LB will be in the first 18 months. So this i just another tool to get you there. I love my shakes and it is less a struggle to get my protein and food down since I only have to worry about one meal. But again, I think the discussion is between you and your doctor.
