Hello,
I am Melanie and am 49 years old. I am married, mother to 3 children (2 grown sons and 1 teenage daughter) and grandmother of 2. My husband and I own & run a small business.
I have been overweight most of my adult life, especially after having my daughter 13 years ago.
At this point I have had all necessary test and procedures required to have my surgery and I am just waiting to see my PCP for my monthly check-ins. I hope to have a surgery date set for January 2016. Since my BMI just barely is over the required number, however I do have sever sleep apenea, I am not required to lose any weight before surgery.
I found BariatricPal with the information my nutritionist gave to me. I am exceited to use this forum to read about others experience and to have support with my own weight loss surgery.
