I'm "Trying Hard Again!" Back in March, 1999, when I had my gastric bypass surgery, I was like a pioneer! No one had hardly heard of WLS, but I thought it was the answer to my prayers! Having struggled all my life with dieting, only to gain it all back and more each time, I was anxious for the surgery. I started at 335, and in a little over a year, I was down to 175 pounds, and looked really skinny! I was going to the gym daily, and even had a abdominoplasty ( along with a hernia repair). At age 47, I was a success! But the old eating habits returned, and this summer, I had regained, up to 268 pounds. But now, my husband has just had a gastric bypass., 3 weeks ago. i am trying to eat the right way again, and doing a lot of research and reading to see where I went wrong. I have been trying really hard, and in 3 weeks, I have lost 8 pounds. ( He has lost 30.). Is there anyone else out there like me, who is struggling to lose all over again?
