Hi I just came across this app through Google and thought it may help me decide which route to take for my weightloss surgery. I had a gastric band fitted in August 2006 in Belgium by Mr Marc Focquet. I was extremely happy with my 8.5st weight loss! After being involved in a minor car accident things began to go wrong and i was unable to keep anything down even water for long periods and after being hospitalised numerous times to be rehydrated via an intravenous drip my band was removed in august 2011. I have now gained over half the weight i lost which is very depressing for me. My BMI is 35 and many surgeons dont like to perform gastric sleeves unlesss your BMI is 40+ unless theres you have diabetes, high blood pressure etc.which i dont have. Had concidered the Spatz Balloon but really want a permanent solution that doesnt involve a band....too many things to go wrong!
