Hi,
I'm Kelli and had a sleeve gastrectomy on 1/13/15. I'm an RN and mother of three grown daughters.  I became a "Gigi" last June and love every minute I spend with my granddaughter!!!

I was described as a big boned, adorable kid whereas my mom and sisters were all petite, slender and very attractive.   My earliest memories are of hiding food in my room.   It got so out of control, my mom paid my older sister a dollar per wrapper to go in once a month and clean out food wrappers.    Needless to say, I learned early the humiliation associated with my extraordinary food intake.  When I began to notice boys, food no longer was as important and I dropped a lot of weight.  Nevertheless, my mom sent me to "Fat Camp" in California and although I was average size by societies standards, I still lost 30 pounds.

As an adult I've struggled with bleeding ulcers and weight since my early 20's.  When my lesions became pre-cancerous, I decided to pursue the gastrectomy and kill two birds with one stone.

I'm struggling with nausea and left upper abdominal pain when moving a certain way, but my surgeon tells me it will subside eventually.
